• For the non-premier mileage, plus members are general, nonmembers can confirm their seat on another flight within 24 hours of the originally scheduled departure time. You must pay the fare difference if the same fare class is available.

If you are planning to fly on the standby list, you can add yourself to the standby list. To add to the standby list, you have to follow the process:

1. You can add yourself to the standby list on the website or the app, use the self-kiosk center, or visit the airport. If you have to do it online, you have to follow the steps:

• Open the official website of United Airlines. 
• Click on my trip option. 
• Enter your six-digit reservation code and other required details. 
• Click on view flight options. 
• You can select your flight and add yourself to the standby list. 
• You have to keep an eye on and track your new fight on the United Airlines app. If you have done it through the kiosk, you must keep your eye on your new flight. 

Can a change be made on the day of travel?
