What is the American Airlines baggage policy?

Baggage policy for carry-on bags-

  • The airline carry-on bags policy suggests passengers can carry one personal item and one carry-on bag.

Carry on requirements-

  • The carry-on bag measurements should not exceed 22 x 14 x 9 inches, including handles and wheels.

  • If your bag doesn't fit the overhead bin, you must put it in the checked bags. The additional carry-on restrictions may apply in different airports or flights. In case this happens, label your carry-on the same way you do check bags.

  • The soft-sided garment bags up to 51 inches are allowed as a carry-on items.
